November Meeting 2022

Image
For our November 2022 meeting, a group came to serve at the Samaritan Inn, an organization providing breakfast, lunch, and spiritual nourishment to the homeless in the community. We got ready for, served, and cleaned up after lunch, as well as unloaded a food delivery, did some work in the thrift store, and prepared sandwiches for the following day. We also listened to a local pastor share a message to those coming to the shelter for aid. It was an eye-opening and rewarding experience to serve here and we hope to return!

For our October meeting, Mr. Matt Hare spoke to us about his involvement with the Kairos Prison ministry and the work that this ministry does in prisons near and far. He also shared personal stories of the change he has seen and how God has used this ministry to do His work. It was an inspirational, eye-opening and God-glorifying talk.  To contribute to the cause, students baked 12+ cookies each. These cookies will be shared at the next Kairos prison event.
