Eta Sigma Alpha National Homeschool Honor Society

  On January 15, 2015, we had a the opportunity to volunteer at our local Feeding America Food Bank. We assisted in sorting and cleaning various groceries, which were later shipped to needy families around the Roanoke Valley.

   In January we welcomed Mr. Chris Ronk at the request of Micah Giraudeau. He provided us with some beneficial knowledge on money management, and how this can be evaluated from a Christian's perspective. 

    In December, Andrew Philips invited retired Chief Gunners Mate of the United States Navy, Mr. Scott Gustafson, to give us some insight on a life of military service.

    During the month of November, we ran a children's book drive to raise awareness of kids in the Roanoke Valley who do not receive many gifts. We donated the collected books to the West End Center, which is an after-school program for inner city kids.
