Eta Sigma Alpha National Homeschool Honor Society

January: Renee Campbell spoke on study skills. February: Phil Holsinger spoke on his ministry at the Blue Ridge Women's Center, on being a friend to those with tough choices, and on communicating the truth in love. March: Sam Dean, a photo-journalist for the Roanoke Times, spoke on photography and on his job.  April: Steve Hall, Pastor of Roanoke Valley Bible Church, spoke on the importance of thinking logically

At the end of each school year the honor society has a banquet for members and their families to come together for fellowship, as well as to congratulate the graduates. Here are some pictures from the 2011 banquet.

For our April service project honor society members made baby blankets for the local battered women's shelter.

In January and February the honor society participated for the third consecutive year in the Baby Bottle Campaign to raise money for the Blue Ridge Women's Center. This year, we raised $3,266.74! God brings the increase!

I n March members of the honor society worked at the Feeding America Southwest Virginia Food Bank, sorting through donated food under the supervision of a vivacious, outgoing supervisor, James Andrews.

For our February service project honor society members baked cookies, made tags, and arranged cookies in gift packages to give to librarians in the area in honor of Love Your Library Month.
